The IDF released a video this week showing a weapon cache discovery at an elementary school in Northern Gaza; it included several explosives, including mortar shells.
“IDF troops located dozens of mortar shells that were hidden by Hamas in a kindergarten in the northern Gaza Strip. In addition, IDF troops located numerous Hamas weapons hidden in the ‘Al-Karmel’ elementary school,” the IDF said.

U.S. and Israeli officials have said the Hamas terrorist organization uses civilian infrastructure like schools, homes and hospitals as cover for its military activities.
The Hamas-run Palestinian Ministry of Health says more than 11,000 civilians have been killed so far in Gaza since the onset of the Oct. 7 war. Hamas also has killed more than 1,200 Israelis and has taken around 240 people captive.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Friday that it is continuing to provide and deliver aid to people in Gaza’s Al-Shifa Hospital while its military conducts a “precise and targeted” operation against Hamas terrorists in the building.
