A 72-year-old man was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting as he left his nephew's birthday party in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood. The incident occurred around 10 p.m.

Police and the family of a 72-year old man who was leaving his nephew’s birthday party , in Chicago , were shocked to hear that he had been fatally shot on his way back to his vehicle.

Police said that Cesar Patino, a resident of Logan Square, was shot by a driver-by while his wife was returning their coats after a party. The shooting occurred around 10 pm on Sunday. His wife found him lying on the ground.
