A CNNreport stated that a deal could be reached today to free Israeli hostages held by Hamas, according to a source who is familiar with the Qatari-mediated talks.
Sources said that negotiations could lead to an agreement releasing civilian hostages for a temporary pause in the fighting in exchange. They added that the talks were becoming more optimistic.
A senior US official told the publication that “it’s very near”.
According to CNN , the deal would see 50 women and children released and a four-to five-day pause in combat.
Israel Defense Forces (IDF), say that at least 1,200 Israelis were killed since Hamas’ sneak attack on Israel, from the Gaza Strip. This prompted the Jewish nation declare war.
