A Texas groom whose multimillion-dollar Paris wedding recently went viral is facing aggravated assault charges after being accused of shooting at three police officers earlier in the year, according to court documents.

Court documents state that a Texas groom, whose wedding in Paris went viral recently and cost millions of dollars, is now facing charges for aggravated assault after being accused earlier this year of shooting three police officers.

Jacob LaGrone (29), has been charged by NBC Texas affiliate KXAS with three counts of aggravated assasination against a public employee, a felony offense carrying a maximum life sentence in prison. He was accused of threatening and firing a firearm at three police officers in March.

Indictment states that LaGrone “did intend or know” to threaten the officers with “bodily harm.” The indictment does not give any further details of the incident.

Westworth Village released a statement saying that three officers – one from Westworth Village, and two from Westover Hills – were responding to “multiple disruption calls” on March 14, when they “were shot upon.”

LaGrone, who appeared Thursday in Tarrant County District Court, Fort Worth, Texas was offered a 25-year prison sentence as part of a plea bargain.

Rhett Paraham, an attorney for LaGrone did not respond immediately to a comment request Monday.

Madelaine Brockway (26), heiress of a car dealership, was not present in court. She was not available for comment.

Social media videos of LaGrone’s and Brockway’s wedding on Nov. 18, including the lavish displays of a Maroon 5 performance, an overnight stay in the Palace of Versailles, and a welcome meal at one of the world’s most renowned opera houses, have been viewed millions of times.

Brockway, wearing a Dior Haute Couture dress custom-made for her, walked down to the altar at the luxury Parisian wedding venue Chateau De Villete, according posts from wedding planners Lake Como weddings HMR designs. They called it “the wedding of the century.”

Brockway is the daughter Robert “Bob” Brockway who is the Chairman and CEO of Bill Ussery Motors. Bob Brockway’s father started the company in South Florida.

Brockway held a bachelorette party in a luxury Utah desert resort Amangiri. The wedding planner Rachel Birthisle posted videos on Instagram that showed each night’s theme. It culminated with a Marie Antoinette dinner party for Halloween. Brockway dressed up as the former queen of France for the occasion.

The bride invited guests to create custom tweed bags during a party at Chanel Haute Couture Headquarters in the days leading up to the wedding. She also hosted a lunch at the Eiffel Tower, and a dress unveiling at Dior. Brockway’s account has since deleted the TikTok clips that documented each part of the wedding.

The day before the wedding is approaching! “We’re at Dior for the bridal luncheon and tonight, we have the rehearsal at the Opera House!” Brockway, in an Instagram Reel by social media content creator Olivia & Living referred to Paris’ Palais Garnier. The historic theatre is known for its opulence.

According to an Instagram video from Lake Como Weddings, during the event, the building’s balconies, staircases, and dining tables were decorated with flower arrangements. Each table also had a display chocolate trees.

Fort Worth gift store P.S. posted an online wedding register which appears to be the couple’s registry. The Letter features 119 designer items including a $12,500 Crystal Butterfly House, a $5600 Vintage Vase, and a £2950 Antique Silver Tea Set.
