Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton officially endorsed Donald Trump, former president and GOP frontrunner for 2024. “When Donald Trump served as president, America was strong, safe and prosperous,” Cotton said.

“With Joe Biden in office, everything is going to hell. Families can’t buy groceries, our borders are wide open for a full-blown invader, and our enemies start wars all over the world.”

“I support President Trump, and I look forward working with him to retake the White House and Senate to help the hardworking Arkansans who are suffering under Joe Biden’s disastrous policy.”

Cotton said, “It is time to put our country on the right track.”

Cotton and the former President worked together during the Trump Administration on immigration policy, border security and securing.

In 2017, Trump supported legislation that was introduced by Cotton and David Perdue, then a senator. The bill called for a new merit-based immigration system in the United States that would reduce the number of green card issued annually from one million to 500,000.

The bill, the Reforming American Immigration for a Strong Economy Act (RAISE), aimed to give priority to immigrants based on their skills and to protect the jobs of American workers.

The bill was not passed, but it has been unveiled at a high-profile White House ceremony.
