Video shows that a Clark County judge as well as a marshal suffered injuries on Wednesday after a defendant, who had been denied bond, threw themselves over the bench.

FOX5 Las Vegas reported the incident occurred as Judge Mary Kay Holthus sentenced Deobra redden.

Redden, according to the station, was charged with attempted assault with serious bodily injury.

On Wednesday, a Clark County Nevada judge was attacked after denying probation to a defendant.

In a video obtained Fox News Digital by Redden’s lawyer, he asks the judge to give probation to his client.

Judge Holthus replied, “It’s about time he tried something new.”

Redden then appears to fly in the air with his arms and leg wide open before landing on a judge.

On Wednesday, a Clark County Nevada judge was attacked after denying probation to a defendant.

The station also added that Judge Holthus had been injured, but he did not go hospital.

A marshal was also injured. On video, he is seen punching.

FOX 5 reported that the marshal had been hospitalized in stable condition.

On Wednesday, a Clark County Nevada judge was attacked after denying probation to a defendant.

In a press release provided to the station, the court stated: “We congratulate the heroic acts performed by her staff, the law enforcement and everyone else who subdued defendant.” The court is committed to maintaining a secure and safe courthouse. We are reviewing our protocols, and we will do what is necessary to safeguard the judiciary and the public.

Redden was also charged with two counts of battery and battery causing substantial harm on a person who is protected, in addition to the single count of battery.

Redden will be back in court this Thursday.
