A man from Idaho was arrested for stealing a plane out of a North Las Vegas Hangar.

After officers asked about the aircraft, he allegedly flew over 100 miles to a southern California Airport and then ran into the desert.

The man is in custody currently in San Bernardino County and faces charges for possession of an airplane stolen as well as taking stolen property over state borders.

According to the County Sheriff’s Department, the incident happened on Saturday. According to KSNV TV, there could be more charges in Nevada.

A man has been arrested in San Bernardino County on charges of possessing a stolen plane and bringing stolen property across state borders.

North Las Vegas officials told the station that the man may also have been behind the attempted aircraft burglaries in the previous three days prior to his arrest.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the aircraft’s value was about $80,000.
