House Majority Leader Rep. Steve Scalise is set to return to the House floor next week after a successful battle against cancer; his multiple myeloma was labeled  “very treatable” and is in “complete remission.”

The Louisiana Republican’s office said the congressman has “successfully completed his autologous stem cell treatment and has been medically cleared to resume travel.”

Scalise is set to return just in time for the House GOP effort to impeach failed DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. The Majority Leader will be a key vote for the GOP as they lost the first impeachment attempt by just a few votes.
