A kidnapped man is found in his car trunk, and escapes in a crash and fire in Seattle.

A man — beaten, kidnapped and stuffed into the trunk of his own car — escaped after the vehicle crashed and caught fire in Seattle, police said.

Police said that a man was beaten, kidnapped, and then stuffed in the trunk of his car after it crashed. The vehicle caught fire in Seattle.

Authorities said that the vehicle crashed into a house in the 7200 block 27th Avenue NE, Ravenna neighborhood, shortly after 5 a.m. Thursday.

According to Detective Judinna Gulpan’s statement , “Witnesses witnessed a man climb out from the trunk of the wrecked vehicle.” Fire crews put out the flames from the car fire.

Gulpan said that the 63-year old man had “reported that he was assaulted by multiple suspects, then bound, and placed in his vehicle’s trunk.”

Neighbors said that they could hear the victim crying out for help within seconds of the accident.

“And then there was a scream of ‘ahh… ahh! “And then there was a screaming of ‘ahh, ahh!’,” Cheng Yu, NBC affiliate KING in Seattle said. It’s absurd.

Raegan McKibbon said that she witnessed two people leap out of a car and run before she assisted the victim.

“He was tied with rope and screaming, “Help me, help! I just got kidnapped. Call 911!” McKibbon stated. McKibbon said, “He had been beat up pretty badly. They cut his face with knives and punched him.

Brooks Mierow was grateful that the car crashed into his home. The damage to his home wasn’t more severe.

Mierow stated that nobody was hurt and the house wasn’t destroyed.

Police said that an 18-year-old male was briefly detained because he matched the description of a suspect.

The suspects were not identified and no arrests were made immediately.
