According to Florida police, a Georgia teenager killed one family member and injures another in a’very violent, brutal’ attack.

A 19-year-old Georgia man was arrested in Florida for killing one family member and injuring another in what police say was a "very violent and brutal attack."

According to police, a 19-year old Georgian man was taken into custody for attacking another person and killing a family member in Palm Coast, Florida on Wednesday morning.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office responded at around 2:56 AM to a 911 call. A caller had reported that a man appeared at her house on Clermont Court, claiming that he was being attacked and needed assistance.

According to police, upon arriving at the scene, deputies spoke to the victim who claimed that he was being attacked by Luke Ingram of Dunwoody (Georgia). According to the victim, he believed that another family member was responsible for attacking his home.

The sheriff’s office stated that the suspect was found near the victim. Paramedics declared the victim dead at 3:24 a.m. after he sustained “significant blunt force trauma.”

Luke Ingram, Dunwoody, Georgia was taken into custody for second-degree murder, domestic violence battery with strangulation and resisting without violence. He also faces aggravated battery against a law enforcement officer. He is currently being held without bond. (Flagler County Sheriff’s Office

According to the sheriff’s, the suspect refused to cooperate with police and physically resist arrest. Deputies tased him and finally he was taken into custody so that emergency responders could enter the house and try to help the victim.

Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Major Case Unit was called to investigate this incident as a homicide .

Police took the suspect to Flagler County Courthouse where he was interviewed by detectives. According to police, he tried to escape by pulling his handcuffed arms between his legs and attacking detectives and deputy officers present.

The sheriff’s office stated that “after a significant struggle, multiple taser deployments and a substantial struggle, he was again subdued” and that he was transported to Advent Health-Palm Coast to be cleared for medical treatment before being taken to Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility.

Police said that one Major Case detective was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital.

Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly said, “Fortunately our detectives will recover after their injuries taking the violent offender off of the streets and into Green Roof Inn were he belongs.” The original crime scene was a brutal and violent attack. We are diligently trying to determine the cause of this terrible attack on family members this morning. We offer our condolences for the victims and their families.

Ingram was charged with second-degree murder, domestic violence battery, resisting without violence, resisting using violence, and aggravated battery against a law enforcement officer.

He is currently held without bond.
