An arrest warrant states that a North Carolina high school teacher was found with child pornography.
According to warrants obtained from local outlet ABC11, Eric Kyle Belk, 37 was taken into custody Tuesday. He was a teacher at Sanderson High School.
According to the warrant, Belk is accused of sharing video of at most one boy and several girl aged 7-12 years engaging in sexual acts.
Belk, whose employer was Wake County School System, was listed in the warrant. He allegedly distributed, received, and exchanged videos that showed adult men having sex naked with children.

Following Belk’s arrest, Kevin L. Hill, interim principal at Sanderson High School, issued a statement Wednesday.
Hill wrote, “To keep you updated, I want to share details about an incident involving teacher,”
“Eric Belk , a teacher at our school was arrested last night and charged for second-degree sexual exploitation. The law enforcement has informed us that the investigation into the incident does not seem to involve any of our students and did not take place at our school,” said the interim principal.

“While privacy laws prohibit me from sharing much information about this situation, I can tell you that the teacher was suspended. Hill said that he would share more information about the situation as soon and encourage anyone with concerns to contact the school’s office.
Wednesday morning, Belk appeared in court for the first time. He is currently being held on $500,000 bond.
Nearly 270 educators were detained on child sex-related offenses in the U.S. for the first nine months 2022. These crimes ranged from grooming to underage students to rape.

Fox News Digital conducted an analysis and found that at least 269 educators were detained between Jan. 1 and Sept. 30, which is roughly one arrest per day.
