Arleen S. Sorkin’s voice for Harley Quinn in Batman: The Animated Series # 039 and Batman: The Animated Series # 039 has died at age 67.

Arleen Sorkin, the original voice of Harley Quinn from “Batman: The Animated Series” and “Days of Our Lives” actor, died on Saturday.

James Gunn, CEO of DC Studios, shared the sad news about Sorkin’s passing on Instagram.

Arleen Sorkin is the original voice of Harley Quinn. She was a talented actress who created the character that so many of love. “Love to her family, friends and fans.”

Sorkin started her career as an entertainer by performing in cabarets in the 1970s and 1980s. In 1984, she landed the role of Calliope in “Days of Our Lives”.

Sorkin was nominated for two Emmys in 1988 and 1989 for her performance in “Days of Our Lives”. She won both Emmys in the category of outstanding supporting actress. She played a permanent part in “Days” between 1984 and 1990. She returned for guest appearances from 1992, 2006, and 2010.

She voiced Harley Quinn, a character that was meant to appear in only one episode of “Batman: The Animated Series”, “Joker’s Favor,” during the 1992 season. Sorkin continued to voice the character in various projects, including “Superman: The Animated Series,” The New Batman Adventures,” Gotham Girls,” Static Shock,” Justice League,” Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker,” and “The Batman Superman Movie: The World’s Finest.”

Sorkin is also a writer, producer and director. She wrote “Picture Perfect”, in 1997, and two episodes of Tiny Toon Adventures.

Mark Hamill, , the actor who played the Joker and often starred with Sorkin on X/Twitter, offered his condolences.

“Devastated to hear that we have lost the brilliant Arleen. A wonderful talent and a lovely person. I am grateful to her for having been my friend and colleague. “Sending my deepest condolences and love to her family.”

Her husband Christopher Lloyd and her children Eli and Owen survive her.
