Burlington police investigate fatal stabbing

A fatal stabbing in Burlington, Vermont, is being investigated by police. Following the stabbing, the victim was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Burlington police are investigating a fatal stabbing. This is the fifth murder in Vermont’s biggest city.

Officers responded to a call at 3:00 a.m. from Main Street Pizza and discovered a man with apparent stab wounds. The victim was later identified as Abubakar Sharrif (23 years old), Burlington. He was then pronounced dead at the hospital.

It was the fifth Burlington homicide of the year. However, it was not gunfire.

There have been no arrests. Burlington’s Acting Chief Jon Murad stated that detectives continue to investigate Sharrif’s death and will release more information as it becomes available.

Burlington police are investigating a stabbing that resulted in the death of a suspect.

Sharrif’s passing comes at a time when police and city officials are facing an increase in shooting incidents in the area.
