After being found guilty from the age of 4 to 6, a child molester in Southern California was sentenced Tuesday to 610 years imprisonment.
Travis Edward Martin, a Santa Paula native, sexually assaulted a child in Ventura County, Orange County, and Orange County between 2019 and 2021.
The abuse started when the child was four years old and continued through 2021. Martin was found guilty of all charges and special allegations in October 3.
Initial charges against the 37-year old were seven counts of lewd and lascivious acts with children.

Martin was also charged for one count each of using a child to produce pornography and possessing child pornography.
The Ventura County District Attorney’s Office stated that was previously convicted for child molestation in a prior case.

“We are happy with the verdict of the jury and the sentence by the judge in this case which accurately reflects harm caused to the defendant’s horrible crimes,” Rafael Orellana, Supervising District Attorney, stated in a statement.

The statement said that the sentence of 610 years to death will be used to protect the community and demonstrate that there is no tolerance for child sexual abuse or exploitation.
