A Californian armed suspect was detained Friday after opening fire upon authorities in a chase that took place in three counties around Los Angeles.
The suspect led authorities on a chase through Riverside County, before making his way through Orange County and Los Angeles counties. FOX Los Angeles reported. He crashed into a police car and hit a pole.

As a gunman led police on a long chase, a group of children crossed the street in Los Angeles. (KTTV)
The suspect pulled up at an intersection near Lakewood California, as children were crossing the street.
Then, he opened fire on the authorities at 3:45 p.m. He is believed to have tried to flee from a Corona officer when he opened fire on him earlier.
After a lengthy pursuit that took place in three counties, an armed suspect crashed his truck into a pole on Friday during a chase by police near Los Angeles. (KTTV)
It is not known what caused the pursuit.
