According to reports by The Daily Wire, and Decision Desk Governor Brian Kemp (R), has defeated Democratic challenger Stacey Abrams during their rematch in the 2018 gubernatorial elections.
From Daily Wire:
Kemp, 59 years old, won the election cycle. He even beat opposition from Donald J. Trump who supported former Senator David Perdue in the GOP primary.
Kemp has been expressing gratitude for Trump’s presidency in recent weeks and shunned criticism of him.
“I don’t know. You’d have to ask him that question. When Kemp was asked why Trump was trying to avoid the Georgia general election, he replied that he was focusing on getting his vote out.
“I am grateful for what President Trump did to Georgia. He said that his administration was amazing to work with, and he also praised the COVID assistance.
