Car wreck into Chicago-area restaurant harms family of 4

A family of four were left injured after a car driven by an elderly man crashed into a Culver's in Morton Grove, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.

Authorities said that a car lost control and crashed into a suburban Chicago dining room Monday. This sent a family of four to the hospital.

The crash took place shortly after 4:45 p.m. at Culver’s Morton Grove restaurant. Authorities said that the car crossed a parkway and drove-through lane, and crashed into a dining area.

Firefighters said that minor injuries were sustained by family members.

It was not immediately clear why the car lost control.

According to police, the driver of the car was an elderly man.
