Casey Anthony’s ex-roommate talks out
In a documentary called “Casey Anthony: Casey’s Friends Speak”, a former roommate of Casey Anthony will speak out. He describes Anthony’s actions just days before Caylee’s body was found.
Casey Anthony was back in the spotlight when Peacock released a teaser trailer for a docuseries on the Florida woman.
Anthony was accused in 2008 of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee in Florida. After her daughter’s unsolved murder, a jury found her innocent of murder in 2011, she sat down for an interview on camera.

According to a teaser, the three-part Docuseries “Casey Anthony” will air on Peacock Nov. 29.
Caylee was reported missing by her grandmother on July 15, 2008, just weeks after she had been last seen June 16. Anthony claimed that her daughter had gone to a babysitter at the time of her disappearance.
Anthony was initially charged with child neglect. However, he was later indicted for more serious charges, including first-degree killing, when Caylee’s remains had been discovered Dec. 11.

After months of speculation, commentary, and a trial that lasted more than a month, a jury deliberated 11 hours before finding Anthony not guilty. She was found guilty of lying to police.
“She put us through hell.”

Jose Baez, Anthony’s defense lawyer, claimed that Caylee drowned inadvertently and that her death was covered up. Prosecutors claimed that Anthony drowned Caylee using chloroform, then covered her mouth with duct tape.
Caylee’s disappearance, death, and subsequent criminal investigation , captured the attention of the nation for many years. They also captured the headlines for days.
Nearly 14 years later, many people still have a hard time believing the terrible mystery surrounding Caylee’s disappearance.

Anthony, now 36 years old, was photographed with her long brown hair, blush pink lipstick, and sharp eyebrows. As the interview begins, Anthony fixes her hair and looks into the camera.

“In 2011, Casey Anthony had been accused of killing her daughter,” reads the message against a black background. “She was not found guilty.”
The screen returns to Anthony’s straight face.
“Why should you talk to me now if you don’t have creative control?” In the background, someone is asking questions. The screen turns black.

Although Anthony is not the first to speak to the media about her life or her case, this is the first time she has appeared on camera since the trial ended.
In 2017, Anthony told The Associated Press that she had lied about Caylee being with a sitter, that she spoke with Caylee by phone the day before the girl disappeared and that she worked for Universal Studios. She also admitted that she was telling people about her missing daughter.
During an interview she gave the AP in 2017, she stated that she was in West Palm Beach working with Patrick McKenna (her trial defense team’s chief private investigator) and was involved with investigations and conducting Internet searches for McKenna.
According to the AP, she enjoyed her spare time by reading and taking photos.
According to the AP, Florida Division of Corporations records from 2020 showed that Anthony had filed paperwork to start her private investigation company, Case Research & Consulting Services at the beginning of January 2021.

According to the outlet, she said that she went to bars occasionally with friends but would always leave once she was recognized.
She told that she doesn’t care what others think about her. “I’m fine with myself. I sleep well at night.
CASEY’S PARENTS GEORGE ANTHONY
Casey Anthony’s trial was a complex one in which George and Cindy Anthony were deeply involved in. Cindy Anthony informed police that she hadn’t seen her granddaughter for a month in July 2008. She also gave emotional testimony to the court during her daughter’s trial.
According to Reuters, she could be heard saying “Caylee is missing” in an audio recording that was recorded during trial. “It smells as if there’s been an unidentified body in the car.”

Defense lawyers accused George Anthony of molestation of Casey as a child. He also testified during the trial. George denied ever doing so.
In 2011, George Anthony informed Phil McGraw that his daughter was not welcome at his house during the trial.

McGraw said that George was able to “the facts and realities in a very forthright way” while Cindy was “in an enormous state of denial.”

“Why didn’t she tell me?” Why didn’t she call someone?” She said in the interview that none of this would have happened. It’s almost like she made us go through hell. I’m sure that if Caylee had drowned in the pool, it would have been a devastating experience for me and I would have blamed myself for the rest my life.
