After two teens threatened to rob him , a 56-year-old concealed gun holder shot the suspects in Chicago this morning. Police say that they pointed a gun at him and “demanded” his belongings.
The incident took place in the city’s westside at 6 a.m., when “three males” entered a vehicle and approached the victim. The victim was in his own vehicle, Chicago Police stated in a statement to Fox News Digital.
Police said that one of the suspects jumped out of the car and pointed a gun at the victim, demanding his belongings.
“A struggle ensued prior to the victim,” police claim that the victim legally owned a firearm, was a concealed carry licence holder. “Withdraw his weapon and fire several rounds.”

Chicago Police state that the offending vehicle attempted to flee but was stopped by police nearby.
According to investigators, the driver of the suspect vehicle was shot in the head. He was taken to a local hospital and is currently in critical condition. A second male victim was found nearby with a gunshot wound on the shoulder.

The suspect was admitted to hospital in serious condition. Police said that the third victim, a male who was riding in the backseat in the offending vehicle suffered a broken leg and was taken to a local hospital in fair condition.

Police also stated that all suspects were teens aged between 15 and 18 years old, while the victim of the robbery attempt did not suffer any injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
