CHRISTIE 2020: Former NJ Governor Announces Presidential Bid Next week; Report

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is preparing to launch a White House bid.

Chris Christie, the former governor of New Jersey, is getting ready to run for president. According to a report by The Daily Callerthe Garden State Governor is expected to make an announcement next week.

Sources say The Calder will make the announcement on Tuesday at Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire, at a townhall. A super PAC is already formed.

A source close to the DCNF said that the campaign will be “non-traditional, highly focused on earned and social media.” “Will be nimble, not geographically dependent.”

DCNF reported that Tell it Like It Is will be run Brian Jones, who was a former adviser for John McCain’s and Mitt Romney’s presidential campaigns in 2008 and 2012.

Jones, in a DCNF statement, said that Christie had shown he was not afraid to speak the truth and willing to face the hard facts that threaten the Republican Party’s future. “Now, more than ever, we need leaders who have the courage to tell us what we need to know and not what we would like to hear.”

Christie made a failed presidential bid in 2016. The former NJ governor wrote this message after dropping out:

It is the most incredible thing I have ever done and I don’t regret a single moment of this experience. I am so proud of our campaign, those who ran with me and everyone else who supported us and gave us confidence. Mary Pat and myself thank all of our supporters for their extraordinary loyalty, friendship and love.

The campaign has ended, but the battle continues. I will continue fighting for my belief that the government must once again serve the people and not the people who work in the government. I will continue to affirm what I’ve always believed: that having an opinion matters, experience matters, competence matters, and it will always be important in leading our country.
