The “Twitter Files,” which continue to expose how social media was politicized and weaponized, provide more insight into the way the Hunter Biden laptop story from hell was suppressed and censored.

The RNC now wants the FEC open an investigation into Twitter’s censorship of the bombshell story.

In August 2021, the FEC rejected the complaint . On Tuesday, however, the RNC asked the FEC to reopen it due to “bombshell revelations”, which the party claims contradict “factual assertions” made in response to the initial complaint.

“These revelations, commonly known as the Twitter Files’, expose how former senior management took active steps to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop scam and other information detrimental to the Democratic Party’s candidate,” Matthew Raymer, RNC chief counsel, wrote in a letter addressed to the FEC. This exclusive Fox News Digital obtained.

Fox News’ Ronna McDaniel, Chair of the RNC, stated that the release of “Twitter Files” “has confirmed what conservatives know for years; Twitter has a scandalous past of censoring voices in order to benefit the Democrat Party.”

McDaniel stated that Twitter’s censorship on the New York Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story was not legal under Twitter’s rules. He also said that Twitter’s aggressive and broad-based efforts to silence the story, just weeks before 2020 elections, showed clear political bias. “The RNC filed a complaint to the FEC in October 2020. In light of these shocking revelations, we demand that our complaint be reexamined with a focus on whether ex-Twitter employees gave false information to FEC.”

Twitter also claimed that the RNC had suppressed Hunter Biden’s story in accordance with its established policies and procedures.

Raymer wrote to FEC, “Instead it appears that Twitter’s senior executives knew that the existing ‘Hacked Materials Policy’ did not apply. Yet they suppressed this story anyway.” Raymer stated that Twitter’s actions to suppress the story were “far beyond Twitter’s usual practice of suppressing material believed to have been hacked.”

Raymer stated that this directly contradicts the Declaration by Yoel Roth (previously head of Twitter’s Site Integrity group), which Twitter submitted as a response to the RNC complaint. Raymer cited past comments made Roth which suggested that the policy base was hacked material but was “an emerging scenario where the facts remain uncertain.”
