Vice President Kamala Harir made claims that Biden had lowered heating and electricity costs during Wednesday’s remarks at Bowie State University, Bowie, Maryland. She was swiftly criticized online.

Harris stated that “for working families, we’ve reduced heating and electric bills so folks can have more money in the pocket to buy things like school supplies, replace the dishwasher, or go on a family vacation.”

The official Twitter account of The RNC provided quick facts to the statement by tweeting “What is she talking? The electricity is up 11.9%, while fuel oil is up 27.7% and natural gas is up 26.7% compared to last year.

From Fox News:

Others said Harris was giving Americans a line. Placido Domingo Jr. could not contain his fury at the claim. He tweeted: “Nothing better than living and dreaming in an alternate reality …”

Steve Tobak, an author, tweeted a harsh assessment of Kamala’s statement. He said, “Living is the only thing Kamala Word Salad Harris is good in.”

Tommy Pigott, RNC’s director of rapid response, speculated that Harris either knows she’s lying and doesn’t care or is so out of touch, she believes this lie to be true.

Joe Borelli, the Republican Leader of New York City Council, asked: “Can anyone claim their January bill was lower than Jan 2022, Jan 2021, or Jan 2020?” Seriously.”

David Wolfe, a conservative influencer, wrote that “if her mouth is moving she’s mumbling unintelligible words salads of lies.”

Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-Wis.) slammed Harris by tweeting: “At this stage, does Kamala just enjoy lying to the American people? Or is she truly that detached from reality?”

The lawmaker also stated that electricity prices are up by 11.9% and natural gas is 26.7% more expensive.
