Daddy of missing Maryland youngsters ‘ cautiously optimistic’ mommy Catherine Hoggle will be proficient to stand trial

The mother of two Maryland children who have been missing since 2014 could have her murder charges dropped if she is found not competent to stand trial by Dec. 1.

According to local reports, the father of two missing Maryland children believes that his mother will be found competent and capable to stand trial.

Maryland authorities charged Catherine Hoggle (now 35) with murder over the 2014 disappearances her two children, Sarah, three years old, and Jacob Hoggle (2 year old), who are presumed to be dead.

Troy Turner, the father of the children, stated that they are optimistic that Judge Richard Jordan will do the right thing. “If she is not found competent, the charges would be dropped and the case will go to civil confinement.

The outlet reported that after years of back and forth between the defense and prosecutors, Hoggle’s murder charges will be dropped if the judge doesn’t find her competent to stand trial Dec. 1.

WTOP reported that Hoggle’s murder charges were dropped after years of back and forth between the defense and the prosecution. (Fox 5)

Hoggle will hold two hearings on Nov. 17th and Nov. 18, ahead of the Dec.1 deadline, in which the judge will examine her competency examinations. According to WTOP

“Six weeks before the charges must be dropped, unless there is a change. It is hard for me to comprehend how we got here. Turner sent a tweet on Oct. 20 to an account called “Justice for Sarah Jacob” asking for prayers.

Turner stated to WTOP that he believes Hoggle exaggerates the state of Hoggle’s mental health. He also said that it would be “reprehensible,” if Hoggle was cleared of all charges after eight years.

He said, “It’s an awful outcome.” “She took my children’s lives, then she has never been held accountable, and then she is allowed to continue being a threat to my family.”

Turner reported Hoggle and his children missing in 2014. Hoggle was discovered walking in a nearby village without her children, just days after Turner filed the missing persons’ report. She refused to cooperate police.
