The Lone Star State congressman doesn’t like the WHO.

A Town Hall report shows that Rep. Chip Roy (Republican from Texas) has reintroduced legislation to defund the World Health Organization. It’s called the No taxpayer funding for the World Health Organization Act.

Roy stated in a statement that funnelling millions of taxpayer funds to corrupt World Health Organization serving the Chinese Communist Party is a slap on the face of hardworking American families, who are struggling under record high inflation, as well as all those whose lives were destroyed and destroyed by the COVID pandemic.

After growing speculation that Beijing helped Beijing hide the origins Covid-19, Roy accuses the WHO of siding with the CCP.

Trump had a plan to end funding from the WHO in 2020. He called out the WHO for “severely mismanaging” and “covering up” Covid-19.

Soon after Joe Biden was elected, he sent a letter to Antonio Guterres, U.N. Secretary General, informing him that the U.S. did not want to withdraw from its membership.

Biden’s chief medical advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci stated that the U.S. would continue to support The WHO.

From 2020-2021, the United States was the third largest contributor to the WHO with nearly $700 million invested in the group.

Roy presented the bill at the height of pandemic. However, the House was controlled by Democrats so it didn’t stand a chance.

The bill could be saved now that Republicans control the House.

Roy stated to the Daily Wire that the WHO promotes abortion and radical gender ideologies and also praises China for their leadership at the start of COVID-19. Roy said that the CCP has not been held accountable for COVID-19’s spread. “It’s time for Congress, just like the Trump Administration, to take away US funding for this corrupt international organization.
