After allegedly assaulting a 1-year old girl he was babysitting, a Detroit man was arrested for murder.
According to FOX 2, LeRoy Metoyer III, 37-year-old, was charged with one count each of felony murder and first-degree child cruelty.
Metoyer III is accused of assaulting 1-year old Justice Starks in November 2022 at a Detroit residence.
Starks was taken to a local hospital following Metoyer III’s alleged assault of her while she was babysitting.

According to officials, she died several days later from her injuries.

According to the Wayne County Medical Examiner, the cause of death for the 1-year-old was multiple blunt force trauma to his head.
Metoyer III was taken to court on Saturday and was placed in jail.
