Detroit: Police arrest armed Detroit robber who shot him in the chest with a concealed carry permit. He had threatened to kill a friend.

A Detroit man was shot in the chest and arrested after trying to rob a man at gunpoint who ended up having a concealed carry permit and firing back during the robbery.

A man tried to rob another man outside a Michigan liquor shop. He was shot in the chest and arrested.

According to Detroit police, they responded to a call for gunshots last month. They found a victim holding his hands over his head and he claimed he had a concealed pistol licence. Fox2 Detroit reported.

According to the victim, a man wearing a ski mask and a Detroit Lions jacket followed him and his friend into liquor stores before pulling a gun on them.

According to reports, the suspect pulled out a gun to threaten to kill the friend of the concealed carry holder if the conceal carry holder did not turn over his wallet.

As the suspect was being questioned, the concealed-carry holder pulled out a gun and shot the suspect in the chest.

Police later located the suspect, identified later as Joshua Fordham. He was suffering from a gunshot wound.

Click 2 Detroit reported Fordham pleaded guilty to armed robbery in March 2014. He was sentenced to between 5 and 15 years imprisonment.

Fordham isn’t allowed to legally own a gun, and is being charged with felony in possession of firearms.
