Florida motel worker killed and shot by guest trying to shoot another gun but it jammed

Police in Titusville, Florida say a motel guest shot an employee dead and attempted to shoot another when his gun jammed. The man took off before an officer-involved shooting occurred.

An employee of a Florida motel was killed and shot by a guest. The gun was later taken by officers.

Officers responded to a shooting at Titusville’s Siesta Motel around 11:05 a.m. on Wednesday. The officers found a man shot in the courtyard while he was seated with another employee. The man was found dead by officers shortly after. According to police, the suspect tried to shoot another employee after his gun jammed. She was able escape and get away.
