His family confirmed that Josh Seiter had died. He was a former contestant of ABC’s “The Bachelorette”. He was 36.
The statement said: “It’s with a heavy heart that I share the tragic news about Joshua’s untimely passing.” As all those who knew him will attest, Joshua was a bright light in a world that is becoming increasingly dark. His fearless spirit and voice helped thousands in their darkest times feel a little bit less alone.
The statement went on to say that “although our sadness at Joshua’s death is beyond words, we take comfort in the knowledge that he has finally found peace.” We hope and pray his spirit will continue to live in the words and pictures on this page. For now, we’ll leave it up. We would like to ask for privacy while we do this.
In 2015, Seiter competed in Kaitlyn’s “The Bachelorette”. He was eliminated after the first week.
The family of Seiter did not reveal the cause of his death. However, they concluded their statement with: “For anyone experiencing a mental crisis and in need for help, 988 SMS Lifeline offers 24/7 free and confidential assistance to people in distress as well as crisis prevention resources and crisis resources.”
On Thursday, Seiter posted a picture of himself with the caption “Surviving anxiety and depression one day at atime with a smile.”
