Four Oath Keepers members were found guilty of obstruction during the far-right group’s third Jan. 6 trial

Four members of the Oath Keepers were convicted of conspiring to obstruct an official proceeding in connection with the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

WASHINGTON — Four members from the OathKeepers were convicted for conspiring to obstruct a formal proceeding in connection to the Jan. 6 attack at the U.S. Capitol. On Monday, a judge ordered jurors continue to deliberate the most serious charges against two additional defendants.

Sandra Parker, Laura Steele and Connie Meggs were all found guilty of conspiring to obstruct a formal proceeding. Michael Greene, another Oath Keeper, was not found guilty of conspiracy. However, the jury was still considering whether he was guilty aiding or abiding in the obstruction of an official proceeding. Bennie Parker was not found guilty of aiding and abetting. However, the jury was still considering the conspiracy to obstruct a formal proceeding charge.

All six members were found guilty of the crime of entering or remaining on restricted grounds or buildings. Parker and Greene could be convicted.

This was the third Oath Keepers group to be tried for their actions on January 6, but they didn’t face the much more serious charge of seditious conspiracies like the other two.

Parker, Steele Meggs, Isaacs, and Meggs were all alleged to have entered Capitol while Greene was not.

On March 13, jurors began the first day of full-day deliberations.

Greene said that the Oath Keepers were “old men talking trash at the barbershop” as he testified. Greene stated that the Oath Keepers were like old men talking trash at the barber shop, and that two of those men were “old as —.””.

In relation to Jan. 6, nine other Oath Keepers were also tried. In relation to Jan. 6, five Oath Keepers — Kelly Meggs and Jessica Watkins — were convicted in November on a charge for obstruction of an official proceeding. Two of them — Oath Keepers founder Rhodes, Meggs, and were also found guilty in November of obstruction of an official proceeding.
