In a recent interview, Governor Gavin Newsom of California admitted that Democrats are being “destroyed” in midterm messaging. The party must do better.
He sees the red waves coming.
“We’re getting crushed by the narrative. We have to be better about getting on the offensive and not being on defense,” Newsom said to Garrett, expressing his “fundamental grievances” with his party leaders.
Garrett asked Garrett, “Does it feel as a red wave?” Newsom responded, “Yes, it does.”

Other Democrats, including Newsom’s aunt Speaker Nancy Pelosi have been more optimistic about next week’s elections and have tossed aside assertions that Republicans would sweep the House or the Senate.
“I don’t get paid to say this. “Fate and Feel” is what I’m paid for. You could even be my cheerleader. He said, “I’m also pragmatic, it feels good.”
Newsom is being considered for the presidency in 2024, if Biden, 79, does not run again. He’s also been involved in a series of ads in Florida and Texas that has caused rifts between his GOP counterparts.
