Georgia beauty bandits steal Dyson products worth $1600 and lead police in a high-speed chase

Two brazen thieves walked into an Ulta Beauty store and stole $1,600 worth of Dyson hair styling products, before getting into a getaway car and taking off.

Georgia thieves broke into a local Ulta beauty store, and immediately made their way to the popular Dyson Hairstyling Tools. The two grabbed three items worth $1,600 before fleeing the store in a hurry to a getaway vehicle.

Newnan Police released a video from Ulta Beauty showing Jessica Meister, Joseph Martinelli and their friends confidently entering the Ulta Beauty store at Newnan in Georgia and heading straight for the Dyson hairstyling tools display.

The pair were seen seconds later on surveillance footage walking out of the shop as alarms blared with the expensive hairstyling tools. Employees quickly called the local authorities as the alarms started ringing to report this brazen theft.

The call said that two unknown suspects had entered the store, removed boxes and fled into a vehicle. “One jumped in the front seat and the other jumped in the back,” Officer Stephen Smiley said to FOX 5.

Jessica Meister, Joseph Martinelli and the Newnan Police Department were caught on surveillance video snatching three Dyson hairstyling items.

The police said the two stole a Dyson Multi-styler Airwrap valued at $600, as well as hair straighteners each worth $500.

A video from an outside camera shows the three sprinting towards a car waiting for them, which police say was driven by Benjamin Guillon. All three hail from Maryland or Delaware.

The Coweta Sheriff’s Office, despite rushing off in the getaway car and rapidly spotting the car with Maryland plates.

The suspects fled the store with expensive Dyson hair products.

“One of our Deputy was on the Interstate and saw a car matching that description,” Sgt. Toby Nix. He initiated a stop at the traffic light and approached the vehicle. The driver then put the vehicle in drive, and took off after he asked for identification from the three individuals.

The Coweta Sheriff’s Office stated that the driver swerved towards deputies in order to prevent them performing a PIT, but lost control and hit another car.

According to FOX 5, police said that all three suspects and another driver were taken to hospital with injuries.

The three Dyson products were found in the car of the thieves. The three items, a Dyson Multi-styler Airwrap and two hair straighteners cost $1,600.

The suspects’ car had a trunk full of stolen hairstyling equipment.

The three men are all facing charges of felony for shoplifting.

The police said that additional charges will likely be filed, especially against the driver. He could face charges for felony fleeing and aggravated assault after he allegedly tried to ram several patrol cars during the chase.
