Georgia police search for two suspects in fatal shooting after SWAT standoff.

Two suspects were being sought in Georgia on Tuesday following a a fatal shooting and a SWAT standoff earlier in the day.

Georgia authorities continued to search Tuesday for two suspects after an hours-long SWAT standoff. This was in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred earlier in the day. The Hall County Sheriff’s Department confirmed this to Fox News Digital.

Christopher Dixon, 25, was shot in the chest in Gainesville, Georgia at 10:25 on Tuesday morning. He later died from his injuries after being rushed to hospital.

A SWAT standoff erupted at an apartment located in Harrison Square’s J Building, where the suspects were thought to be barricaded. The sheriff’s office released a statement saying that the SWAT battle lasted for hours.

It was located near the scene of the shooting on Brown Street, Old Athens Road.

The release stated that “Hall County Sheriff’s Office SWAT” was activated and that the building was secured to protect local residents. “Team members entered the unit where the suspects were hiding but found no trace of them,” the release said.
