Georgian man with an axe smashes the lottery machine and steals cash from a convenience store

A man is wanted in Georgia after using an ax to bust open a lottery machine inside a convenience store and stealing $2,800 last month, according to a local report.

According to a local report, a Georgia man with an axe was captured on camera smashing a machine at a convenience shop and stealing thousands in cash.

The incident occurred at Chevron Food Mart Austell around noon on Nov. 22, FOX5 Atlanta reported.

The surveillance video shared by the station shows a man walking into the store, holding an axe, and then breaking open the gaming machines.

He wacked the machines at least 21 more times, shouting “You don’t pay the cash amount!” The station reported.

Mirza Baeg, manager of the store, said that the machines are owned by and operated under the Georgia Lottery. Cash payments are illegal.

According to the report, the suspect allegedly took $2,800 cash and destroyed the machine which was worth approximately $5,000.

Baeg stated to the station that his store had been struck with a similar crime a week prior when two men opened two machines.

According to the station, the suspect is wanted for allegedly stealing $2800 and dismantling the $5,000 machine. (FOX5 ATLANTA WAGA)
