Homeless man stabs 3 people inside Los Angeles Target, suspect shot: police

Three people shopping in a Target store in Los Angeles, California, were stabbed by a homeless man Tuesday night. The suspect was shot by a security guard.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a homeless man attacked multiple Target shoppers in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.

At the Figueroa and Seventh Streets shopping complex, the attack took place at 6:20 p.m. local.

The suspect pulled a knife from a shelf and then stabbed two people, punching one third. Police said that the suspect was shot by a security guard after stabbing two people and punching a third.

Ambulances and police vehicles responded to the scene. The area was cordoned off by crime-scene tape for investigation.

According to reports, first responders searched the store looking for additional victims while shoppers sheltered in place.

Two people were taken by ambulance to the hospital. One suspect is currently in critical condition.
