U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty ordered Dr. Anthony Fauci to take depositions as part of a lawsuit regarding the government’s alleged collusion in social media companies to suppress views that were not in line with the government’s narrative. Just The News reports.
According to the lawsuit, the Biden Administration conspired with Big Tech companies to censor opinion that they deemed unfavorable regarding COVID-19. The lawsuit is being led by Eric Schmitt, Missouri Attorney General, and Jeff Landry in Louisiana.
“The U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty stated that Fauci’s previous public comments regarding national pandemic policies made him relevant in the case and ordered he deposition,” Just The News reports.
“Last but not least, the Plaintiffs claim that Dr. Fauci’s credibility was questioned on matters related to COVID-19 misinformation’. Plaintiffs claim that Dr. Fauci made statements about the efficacy and safety of masks, the proportion of the population required for herd immunity research in Wuhan by NIAID, the lab-leak theory, as well as the funding of ‘gain of function’ virus research in Wuhan.
“Plaintiffs insist that Dr. Fauci’s comments on these important topics are pertinent to the case and should be deposed. Plaintiffs argue that they shouldn’t be forced to accept Dr. Fauci’s “self-serving blanket denies” that were made by someone else as true. He continued, “The Court agrees.”
Fauci’s statements conceal wide-reaching consequences on the U.S., including learning loss among K-12 students.
