In West Virginia, recognition trees planted to honor military members at state Capitol building

West Virginia is planting three recognition trees on the main Capitol building during the holidays for military members, first responders and those who died while serving their country.

During the holidays, two recognition trees for military personnel and first responsers will be found in the West Rotunda of West Virginia’s Capitol Building.

According to Gov., a third tree will be decorated in memory of Gold Star mothers and their families. Jim Justice and first Lady Cathy Justice.

Three recognition trees will be planted by West Virginia on the Capitol Building during the holidays in honor of military personnel, first responders, and those who have died while serving their country.

Photos must be submitted by Tuesday along with the submission form, tag for military and first responder. Photos will not be returned unless photocopies are sent.
