IT’S RONNA! RNC Votes to Keep McDaniel as Chair

The RNC has spoken; Ronna McDaniel will continue to serve as chair of the RNC.

Ronna McDaniel will remain chair of the RNC.

It was a three-way race among current chair Ronna MacDaniel and Harmeet Dhillon as well as Mike Lindell. McDaniel won the election and was elected as chair. McDaniel declared that “the Democrats will hear us in 2024.”

From NBC News :

McDaniel won a majority (168 votes) of the required win votes. He received 111 votes against 51 votes for Dhillon, four votes for MyPillow founder Mike Lindell, and one vote for former Rep. Lee Zeldin R-N.Y. who was not running for office.

McDaniel will be the longest-serving GOP chair ever since the 19th century. In defending their leadership after the disappointing performance of Republicans in the November midterm elections, McDaniel joins Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
