Williams’ attorney did not respond immediately to a comment request.

According to the police citation the two roommates fought over the frozen sandwich.

It states that “Mr. Williams became angry because he had eaten the last Hot Pocket”, and “began to throw tiles at him”.

Williams “threatened” the victim and he “attempted” to fight back, according to the document. However, Williams left.

Williams grabbed a gun, followed his roommate to the outside and shot him in the buttocks.

Williams will be in court again on May 30th for a preliminary trial.

According to Kentucky law, someone convicted of second degree assault can be sentenced between five and ten years in prison.

A second-degree assault conviction is defined by the state as “intentionally causing physical injury to another individual using a deadly weapon, or dangerous instrument”.
