Nancy, 83 years old, has worked 35 years in government and knows little about the justice system.
On Thursday night, Nancy Pelosi, the former Speaker of Congress and Golden State Rep., took to Twitter to share some absurdity that was quickly verified by bluebird moderators.
“The Grand Jury has taken into consideration the facts and the law. Everyone has the right to be tried and convicted. The former President should respect the system.
The Grand Jury has taken action based on the facts and the law.
Everyone is equal before the law and every person has the right of a trial to prove their innocence.
I hope the former President will peacefully accept the system as it is.

Twitter intervened to show Nancy how the law works.
“Ms. Pelosi incorrectly states that Trump can be proven innocent at trial. The US law assumes innocence and requires that the prosecution prove guilt to convict.
It didn’t end there, however.
Uh it’s “innocent until proven guilty” not opportunity to “prove innocence” https://t.co/eOfpYszKLi

Wrong. It is so obvious. This is what middle schoolers know, or at least used to when civics was taught in schools.
You’re innocent until proven guilty. https://t.co/edaKuOlxbe

Stalinist Pelosi. Prove innocent? It’s innocent until proven guilty, moron. Or at least it used to be. https://t.co/BbaJlLvLmU

We were governed by the British when Americans last had to “prove” their innocence. https://t.co/srCeIaijRy
