Martha’s Vineyard Armed Suspects are still at Large after Robbery Bank, Tying Up Employees

A trio of armed robbers walked into a Martha's Vineyard bank on Thursday morning, tied up employees, then fled the scene in a stolen car, authorities said.

Three suspects are being sought by authorities for allegedly robbing a bank with gunpoint and tieing up employees.

The Tisbury Police Department posted a Facebook message Thursday morning stating that an armed robbery took place at Rockland Trust, Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts.

Three armed robbers broke into the bank at 8:15 am, tied up the employees and fled in a stolen vehicle belonging one of the employees. The Vineyard Gazette reported.

According to a bank spokesperson, there have been no injuries and everyone is safe.

Tisbury police said that no suspects had been taken into custody by Thursday afternoon.

It was not clear how much money had been smuggled. The bank was closed to the public at the request of law enforcement. However, drive-through windows were still open.

Tisbury police stated that the investigation was being assisted by the Crime Scene Unit of Massachusetts State Police and the FBI.
