Massive explosion caused by a Maryland tanker truck accident

A fiery crash Saturday in Frederick, Maryland, caused a gas tanker truck to explode, sending thick black smoke into the air from U.S. Route 15.

According to local reports, a gas tanker caught on fire in Frederick (Maryland) after it crashed into a fiery rock.

Around 12:40 p.m., the tanker truck burst into flames. ET on U.S. Route 15 close to a residential area, Fox 5 DC reports.

Emergency services responded to the site of the disaster.

Both sides of the highway were closed. There have been no injuries reported.
