Grand Rapids Montessori Middle High School and Innovation Central High School contractors raised concerns about the structural integrity one of the auditorium walls. This was due to possible compromising deterioration. Grand Rapids Public Schools stated on its website.

Innovation Central is home to the Montessori school. Wednesday classes were canceled at the building.
