Missouri man convicted for shooting Amazon delivery driver in dispute about disabled parking spot

A suburban St. Louis man has been convicted of shooting an Amazon delivery truck driver during a dispute over a disabled parking spot.

ST. CHARLES. Mo. Missouri. A man from suburban St. Louis was convicted of shooting an Amazon driver in the head during a dispute about a disabled parking spot.

Larry Thomlison (70), of St. Charles was found guilty Monday, both of first-degree assault, and armed criminal activity in the March 2019 shooting death of Jaylen Walker, 21, who was left paralyzed from his waist down, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch .

Prosecutors claimed that Walker illegally parked his delivery ban on a disabled spot, and was speaking to another Amazon driver at the time Thomlison confronted Walker.

Thomlison was in a car with a disabled permit placard and Walker tried to take photos of him. Walker pulled the phone away, and Thomlison punched Walker, police stated.

Prosecutors said that when the men fell to the floor during the fight, Thomlison pulled out his gun and shot Walker in their back.

Thomlison will face a sentence May 1.
