Mother of Migos rapper Takeoff suedes bowling alley that he was murdered for more than $1 million

The mother of Migos rapper Takeoff filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the Houston bowling alley where her son was fatally shot last year, according to a complaint filed Wednesday.

According to a lawsuit filed on Wednesday, the mother of Migos rapper Takeoff has filed a wrongful-death suit against Houston bowling alleys where her son was fatally wounded last year.

Titania Davenport, a plaintiff in Harris County District Court, is seeking damages of over $1,000,000 from 810 Billiards & Bowling. This includes funeral expenses, lost earning capacity, and pain and discomfort.

Davenport claims in the complaint that the bowling alley did not provide enough security personnel or screening for an event scheduled for October. They knew the event would attract a large audience, including celebrities.

The complaint states that Takeoff (real name Kirshnik Khari Ball) attended a private party at which “one group” of guests began to verbally, physically, and openly cause trouble and intimidate him and his friends. The complaint states that “two groups or people” exchanged gunfire, which led to Takeoff being killed by stray shots.

According to the lawsuit, “the business was rented by a well known music personality who hosted it knowing that there would be many public figures and artists present.

The suit claims that “despite these facts, defendants did not provide any screening mechanisms, after-hours controls or security measures and no enforcement of industry standards or rules to deter crime” against their invitees, including Takeoff.

The lawsuit alleges that the bowling alley was aware of criminal activity on their premises, as well as in the area surrounding it, prior to the shooting but did not stop it.

810 Billiards & Bowling has not responded to comments immediately.

Officials said Takeoff, 31, and Quavo, another Migos member, were at a private bowling party that started on October 31. Police said that gunfire broke out near the entrance of the bowling alley after the party ended early in the morning on Nov. 1, when a fight broke.

According to the Harris County Medical Examiner, Takeoff was killed by penetrating gunshots into his arm and head.

Police described the artist as an “innocent bystander” who was not part of the fight that took place outside the bowling alley.

According to the police, two people were arrested in relation to the shooting . Patrick Clark, 33 years old, was charged with murder.

Chief said that the other suspect, Cameron Joshua was arrested for unlawfully carrying a firearm.
