Netflix crackdown on password sharing in the U.S.

Netflix’s crackdown on password sharing has come to the U.S.

The crackdown on password-sharing by Netflix has reached the U.S.

Netflix said that it has begun to alert its members about the new policy of sharing Netflix accounts within a single household.

In an email posted on its blog, the company stated that “Your Netflix account belongs to you and your household.”

In the email, it is stated that members may transfer their profile to someone else so they can start a new account on their own. They can also pay $7.99 per month for each person who uses their account.

Netflix announced that it was tightening up its password sharing guidelines in an effort to increase revenue and subscriber numbers. This announcement came shortly after Netflix’s growth began to stagnate.
