New York City Playstation Giveaway turns into chaos as police dodge flying projectiles

New York City Police say that 1,000 kids and teenagers are at Union Square Park for a social media influencer's giveaway, and people were seen throwing bottles at police.

At least 1,000 children and teens gathered in New York City’s Union Square on Friday afternoon to participate in a Playstation Giveaway.

Fox News Digital reported that a spokesperson from the New York City Police Department said at least 1,000 children gathered around Union Square Park to participate in a Playstation Giveaway organized by an influencer on social media.

Twitch broadcaster Kai Cenat Tweeted around 2:00 pm on Friday about a giveaway that would take place at Union Square Park at 3:30 pm.

A video of the incident shows a number of people throwing bottles at officers.
