A line of severe storms moving through New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware could produce damaging 70 mph winds, hail, with potential tornadoes throughout the region.
The National Weather Service (NWS), at 5:30 p.m. announced that large swathes of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland were under a Tornado Watch. This watch is expected to last until Saturday, April 1.
A tornado struck Bridgeville, Delaware shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday night, causing extensive damage to homes. According to the NWS, it was moving east at 50 mph.

The Delaware Department of Transportation issued a statewide traffic advisory warning of unsafe driving conditions.
According to the NWS, to Tornados are also possible in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey. Hail up to two inches in size and wind gusts of up to 70 mph are possible in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey.
Statewide severe thunderstorm warnings are still in effect, with winds reaching 70 mph. Hail is also forecast.

According to the NWS Mount Holly, New Jersey issued a tornado watch for Monmouth County and Ocean County Saturday. High winds and severe thunderstorms were also warned by the agency.

According to Poweroutages.com in Pennsylvania, more than 207,000 people were without power at 9 p.m. According to the NWS, the state was also hit by severe storms as well as hail.
