On Thursday morning, the Twitter account and website of The New York Post were hacked. It was obvious to all except Kathy Hochul, Democratic New York Governor, and Jen Goodman, her press secretary.
They wanted answers.
Hochul’s team issued a statement at 11.38 AM, just two hours after The Post posted this tweet: “The New York Post was hacked.” The cause is currently being investigated.

Hochul’s team issued the following statement, which was way ahead of the news cycle.
“The New York Post has always encouraged a toxic, ugly conversation on their front pages, and social media accounts. But these posts are now more disgustingly vile than ever. The New York Post must immediately explain how such vile content was made public. The Post made it very clear its preferences in the New York Governor’s Race, but there is no place for violence and sexist rhetoric within our politics. We want answers.”
