Police said that four people, including two children, were found dead in an New York City flat in what could be a murder-suicide.
The New York Police Department reported that officers were called just before 3 p.m. to conduct a health check at 328 W. 86th Street. The and officers found two adults, one man, 40 and the other woman, 41, inside. They also discovered a boy, 1 year old, and a girl, 3 years old.
The NYPD didn’t say if the four were related. According to The New York Post, all four victims were family members. This information was gathered from law enforcement sources.
Police said that both the man and woman suffered “traumas” in their necks. The infant suffered injuries all over his body, while the girl had been stabbed to her torso. All four victims were declared dead by first responders at the scene.
The NYPD stated that detectives were investigating the deaths to determine if they could be a murder/suicide.
Sources told The Post that the building superintendent is related to this woman and went to check up on her because he had not heard from her since Sunday morning.
He dialed 911 after seeing blood in the apartment. The sources claim that first responders discovered two children with multiple wounds in the living area, as well as two knives nearby.
Sources claim that the woman’s corpse was discovered with a neck cut in the hallway, and the man lying on a mattress with a knife beside him.
