Officials say 3 residents of an apartment building in Iowa are still missing days after the collapse.

The Davenport Police chief said that while three tenants of a partially-collapsed Iowa apartment building were still unaccounted for, two others had been found safe.

Iowa police reported Thursday morning that there are still three unaccounted-for residents of an apartment building in Davenport that partially collapsed on the weekend.

Two of the five people reported missing earlier this week, including a person who has moved to Texas and another found in Texas, have been located.

He stated that he believes Brandon Colvin, Ryan Hitchcock and other people are in the rubble. Daniel Prien is also missing. Bladel said that it’s not known if he was in the building when it collapsed, but he did work as a shelter.

Bladel told a reporter that at this stage, they have no further information about other people who are missing in the building.

He replied: “So the [three] people, there is a high likelihood that they are in that collapsed area, and the information we have received is that this space is not suitable for living.”

Mayor Mike Matson stated, “First and foremost, I continue to be concerned about the families who are still missing. The [families] for Brandon and Ryan will always remain in our prayers and thoughts.”

The mayor stated that the was still moving, and that the city is working on a schedule to demolish all of the building “dignitively and respectfully,” although officials are “not anywhere close” to doing so right now.

Matson said he will continue to accept criticism, after being asked about his regrets for the way he handled ‘s response in the media on Monday.

“I regret a lot of stuff. We’ll look into it. Matson added that he would continue to rescue people and not be criticised.




IOWA FIRMS SEARCH PARTIALLY COLLAPSED OFFICE BUILDING AGAIN AND STILL CANNOT FINDER SURVIVORS

Matson stated that they were looking into if they had missed a technique in their recovery efforts.

Bladel, the mayor, said that he could not explain why Lisa Brooks, 52 years old was not found during the initial search. He said that he would investigate an TikTok clip in which a man dressed as a policeman says Brooks entered the building.

The city was criticized for a previous statement that announced demolition plans prior to Brooks’s discovery.

Rescuers escorted those who were able to walk out of the building on Sunday.

Hitchcock’s mom said she believed her son was in the second-floor when the building collapsed.

Linda Feliksiak stated, “I can’t believe that he is alive.” He’s always friendly, and he helps people. He has some of the nice qualities that I possess, so I would say he is 51.

Mike Collier, Branden Colvin’s cousin, said: “My cousin told me he just got home at 5 and that he was tired.” “And when Brandon Colvin gets up, he will be able come to the gathering.” Mike Collier, cousin of Branden Colvin, said.

James Morris, the Fire Marshal of New York City, has announced that an investigation will be conducted to determine exactly what caused this collapse.

The city worker who was inspecting the building resigned.
